Structured light engineering using a photonic nanojet

In this Letter, we present the photonic nanojet as a phenomenon in structured light generator system that is implemented to modify source focal spot size and emission angle. The optical comprises microlens array illuminated by focused Gaussian beam generate pattern far field. By introducing spheroid with different aspect ratios focus of beam, characteristics change, generated, which will engineer far-field distribution. To probe fields, implement high-resolution interferometry setup extract both phase intensity at planes. We numerically experimentally demonstrate distribution field can be engineered nanojet. As an example, examine prolate, sphere, oblate geometries. An interesting finding depending on geometry, smaller transverse FWHM higher divergence angle produces increased view same physical system.
